Krishna is Always With Us When We Chant

“… if we look at the moon through the branches of a tree, it is very easy to see how it is moving. Because the branches are closer to us (and to our experience), we can see how the moon is moving between one branch and the next. He says that when we try to understand something which is beyond our full comprehension, then using analogies is very helpful, because it is more within our realm of experience. In the lecture just quoted, he uses an analogy to say that Krishna can always be with you, if you simply chant His names. If you are walking on the street at night, the moon is always with you, no matter how far you walk. Similarly, if you are walking on the street, chanting Krishna’s name, He is present with you. If something like this can happen with the moon, which is a material thing, imagine what can happen with Krishna, who is spiritual. Krishna’s presence in His name is powerful, and can always be with us when we remember and chant His name.”
